Eminent Domain

Under the Natural Gas Act, interstate gas pipeline companies are granted the federal power of eminent domain, which allows them to take private property for their (corporate) use.

Constitution does not have the right to be on any land of the proposed route until a federal district court has granted them that right. Landowners who do not have easements on their property can deny access to the pipeline company and its employees and contractors, and can call the police to remove the trespassers if any of those employees or contractors are on their land.
